It will be a Live Service Game
According to Bloomberg sources, Ubisoft as merged the two studios of Quebec and Montreal to work on a new Assassin's Creed with the code name Infinity that will be a Live Service Game similar to what is used on Fortnite and Grand Theft Auto 5 Online.
The main goal would be to estabilish an online platform where they can launch several historic periods along the years to come.
According to the same sources the game is still years from release.
